Shibata Yoshihiro gets his 3-d printed part from Gian Pablo Villamil .

Shibata came up with the idea for the shield during his airplane trip. He then finished the design in his hotel before Robogames. Gian PabloVillamil was nice enough to print out the part on a Thing-0-Matic 3-d printer from Makerbot after hearing that Shibata need the shield for a mechwarfare match. Not only is this a great example of cooperation between too knowledge people but it is also a great example of the potential of personal fabrication.
