T.H.O.R stands for (Tactical Hazardous Operations Robot).
T.H.O.R is the rescue bot or humanoid robot entry for Virginia Tech and RoMeLa in the DARPA Robotics Challenge. Lead designer for the project is Dr. Dennis Hong.
T.H.O.R is the cover story for February 2013 Popular Science magazine.
